My Visit With D
D showed up at my door on Wednesday morning ready for a day of shopping. We hugged and clapped our hands and jumped around in our excitement to see each other. Then we took a good look at each other. Good grief. We were wearing the same outfit! I mean, we were dressed exactly alike in a cute but casual outfit complete with comfortable shoes for a day at the mall. We were both wearing lime green long sleeve fitted tees, light wash jeans, and sneakers. This would never do. Since D conveniently didn't have anything to change into, I was the one who had to change. Huh!
Once at the mall, we got off to a bit of a slow start. You know how it is. It's hard to plunge in and buy that first item when you're on a budget. D had the brilliant idea to shop twice, buy once. Just like carpentry, he said, when you measure twice, cut once. So that's what we did. We did a walk through of all the stores making mental notes. Then we went back and bought what we really wanted. And we wanted to buy a lot. A lot.
Anyway, we had loads of fun. As always. We shopped ourselves silly. We shopped ourselves sick. We shopped til we dropped. I can't wait to do it again!
